Actor Johnny Depp was once quoted as saying, “My body is my journal, and my tattoos are my story.”
Those words are almost as deep as the ink that is plastered across Depp’s body. With that kind of mindset, he’d fit snugly into the WWE locker room, a place where tattoos tell the tales of love, childhood, heritage, and even self-reflection.
Raw announcer Corey Graves does a wonderful job of pulling many of these stories from the roster via his Superstar Ink show on the WWE Network. Graves is able to tap into exactly why his peers in WWE decided to put their bodies through the pain of a tattoo gun just so they could carry their memories with them.
More often than not, there are deeper meanings behind the ink that you’d never know without hearing it from the stars themselves…
